Traditional international shipping to port service refers to a logistics service that transports goods from the place of origin to the port of destination by means of ocean transportation. This service mainly involves the following links:

1. Receiving goods: the owner will deliver the goods to the international shipping agent or shipping company, and the agent or shipping company is responsible for receiving the goods and carrying out relevant operations.

2. Issue of ocean Bill of Lading: The shipping agency or shipping company shall issue the Bill of lading (B/L) according to the actual situation of the goods, as the proof of the transportation of the goods.

3. Warehouse receipt: deliver the goods to the warehouse of the place of departure, and complete the relevant procedures in the warehouse, such as weighing, measuring, security inspection, etc.

4. Container consolidation (if required) : For LCL cargo, the shipping agent or shipping company will combine the goods of multiple owners in a container to reduce transportation costs.

5. Port loading: the goods are delivered to the port of origin, and the loading procedures are completed at the port, and the goods are loaded onto the container or bulk carrier.

6. Route arrangement: shipping agents or shipping companies according to the weight, volume and destination of the goods, choose the appropriate route and ship for transportation.

7. Transportation of goods: The goods are loaded on the ship and transported by the ship to the port of destination.

8. Customs clearance at the port of destination: After the goods arrive at the port of destination, customs clearance procedures should be carried out, including the payment of customs duties, value-added tax, etc., and the review of relevant documents.

9. Port discharge: After the clearance of the goods, the consignee can pick up the goods at the port with the relevant documents.

10. Value-added services: Some shipping agents or shipping companies also provide other value-added services, such as packaging, warehousing, distribution, etc.

It should be noted that the traditional international maritime arrival service is only responsible for transporting the goods to the destination port, and the subsequent customs clearance, pick-up and other links may need to be handled by the consignees themselves. In addition, the price of such services usually does not include duties, value-added tax and other charges, which are to be paid separately by the shipper or consignee.
